The www.ArchBlocks.com website and products were created by Kevin McWhirter, President of ArchBlocks,Inc. located in Bloomington Indiana. I started working with AutoCAD version 2.6, DOS version back in 1986. I have been in the CAD Service industry for over 30 years , and I always felt that there was a need for current, more accurate, professional looking symbols in architectural CAD drawings. So I developed these CAD blocks libraries to help you create architectural drawings faster, that look more professional, and have more an artistic feeling to them.
To me, it just didn't seem right, you work with $3,000 software, and you see a kitchen plan where the range top is drawn as four circles and a rectangle. It looked like a child drew the range top! When we did our drawings by hand with pencils, we would never spend time detailing a range top, so we kept it simple for speed reasons. In the first years of CAD we wanted our symbols to be simple because the computers struggled with large drawing files, but now there’s no reason to keep drawings simple, except drawing time constraints. Now that computers work at incredible speeds, there's no reason why we can't have CAD blocks that have better detail and that can add some creative beauty to our designs. The ArchBlocks CAD symbols now gives you this level of detail with no loss of production time.
Our #1 goal is to save you time and money!
Our #2 goal is to help you get your work done faster, and make your designs look more professional!!
If you have any questions about any of the AutoCAD 2020 block libraries products, or architectural fonts, or ArchBlocks AutoCAD hatch patterns products, or our CAD title blocks in Modelspace and Paperspace, let me know. If you have any questions about purchasing, downloading any of the AutoCAD products, please send me a note, I will be glad to help in anyway that I can.
